How do I make a booking and secure my date?

Yay! That’s great news that you would like to book with us.

First things first, we will need to check that your date is available; you can contact us through our website, email, Facebook or call us.

Then we will be in touch to let you know if we are available. From there we can arrange a Zoom meeting or meet up and chat a little more about your day. If you are happy to proceed with the booking we will send you the paperwork with our terms and conditions to read over. An initial 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date. The balance is due 14 days prior to your wedding day.

Unfortunately we can’t hold dates without a deposit.

Where are you based? Do you travel?

We live in Wollongong NSW, 1.5 hours south of Sydney.

We are happy to travel anywhere and everywhere. For weddings more than 1 hours’ drive from Wollongong there may be a small travel fee to cover accommodation and travel costs. For interstate and overseas trips, we also ask for flights and a hire car for a couple of days. We make all the arrangements ourselves and build all the costs into the quote, so you just pay a flat fee.

Do you film elopements?

We sure do. We understand that elopements are different to traditional weddings and you’ll need a custom package created just for you. If you’re planning an elopement get in touch with us, we’d love to chat about your plans with you.

When can we expect to receive our film?

We don’t approach any of our films with a cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all templated approach.  As the editing process is highly creative and time-consuming, we aim to have your films to you within 12 weeks of your wedding day, however, this is only a guide as we’re not willing to compromise on quality. We will keep in touch throughout the editing process so you’ve in the loop and up to date with our time schedules.

Do you do same day edits?

It’s a cool idea but unfortunately not something we do. The creative process we apply to your wedding film is something we spend weeks and weeks working on. To pull off a same day edit we would need to compromise the creative process and squeeze your stunning day into a template, sacrificing quality and wow-factor. We promise, your final film will be worth the wait.

Can we meet up before we lock things in to see if you’re the right fit for us?

Absolutely! What’s your favourite café? We encourage all our couples to catch up for a chat over coffee (or Zoom/FaceTime) before we lock things in. Our experience has taught us that the more we get to know you and the more comfortable you feel with us the better your wedding film will be. And let’s be honest, we’re suckers for a great love story, meeting up with our couples before the wedding is one of our favourite parts of the job.

Why do you feel it’s so important to meet us before the day?

Because we don’t want to make you a humdrum, run-of-the-mill wedding film that looks like everything else you’ve already seen.

We want to craft a film that reflects your story and style…but in order to do that we need to know what your story and style is.

We want to get to know you as people, not clients. That’s why we find it’s really important to catch up and ask each other questions and tell stories.

You’ll learn about us and we’ll learn about you. We want you to be sure you feel comfortable and relaxed with us. No matter how your day unfolds, if you’re enjoying being around your videographers, you’re pretty much guaranteed an amazing wedding film.

I’ve already got a photographer, why should I hire a videographer?

We’re going to let you in no a little secret – when we got married we didn’t have a wedding videographer. Shocking we know! It was back before we started PipeWolf Weddings and we went for the classic ‘professional wedding photographer and friends shooting amateur video for us’ combination.

Our wedding photos are beautiful but our photos didn’t capture the heartfelt speeches, the love in our voices when we exchanged our vows, the creative dance moves our friends came up with and the special moments and glances which happened when we weren’t looking and are sadly now gone forever.

At the end of the day, when the wedding is over, it’s the person who you get to spend the rest of your life with that really matters – but you’re only going to have this first day of your marriage once and trust us – you’ll want to relive and remember it as much as you possibly can.

What’s your approach on the day?

We like to fly under the radar as much as possible. We’ll team up with your photographer and follow their lead throughout the day. We like to be unobtrusive and discretely capture the candid, intimate moments as they happen.

Just like you – we like to keep things natural and relaxed. We won’t direct or pose you, we won’t boss you around and make you feel like your acting. We’ll hang back and while you’re in the middle of each moment we’ll be completely focused on capturing the day so you can enjoy it now and relive it later.

It’s just the two of us filming you. No big crew, no clunky equipment or studio lighting getting in the way. We travel light. We promise you won’t be tripping over our gear or feel like you’re on a Hollywood film set.

Can we get the raw footage?

Unfortunately, we don’t supply the raw footage for many reasons. On the day we film many, many, many 5-15 second short clips from a lot of different angles. There isn’t a separate camera continuously recording the entire day in one seamless shot.

We will spend weeks sorting through over 700 short clips, weaving and dovetailing them together to form your wedding films.

When you book us you’re paying for a particular creative style and the raw footage is only half of the job. Our business, and passion, is to craft wedding films that reflect your style and story, and that includes the entire filming and editing process.

We will supply you with a footage album film – this is all of the usable clips which didn’t make it into your other films – they are raw in that they have the original audio attached and haven’t been colour corrected. The footage album is the perfect way to see all the unused but interesting parts of your day without having to wade through hours and hours of raw footage.

What is the raw edit included in the film packages?

The raw edit film documents your entire ceremony, from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out, and all the other formal parts of your day such as your speeches, first dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss, first look etc.

The reason why we call it a raw edit because we don’t add music to it or take out anything. It’s the uncensored, as-it-happened on the day record of your wedding.

Most raw edits are around 1 – 1.5 hours long.

The raw edit is an alternate to receiving all of the raw footage…most of which is unusable.

We’ll make it as smooth as possible to watch, but it is first and foremost real and raw.

Who picks the music?

We use licenced music for all of the music tracks which means the artist gets paid and your film won’t be pulled down from the internet for copyright infringement. The music license fees are included in the price of our packages.

After your wedding, we go through the footage and get a feel for the day. After we finish the rough edit we will search and search and search through our huge database to find the perfect music to match your film.

Do you use drones?

We can arrange drone footage for you. Our drone pilot is a fully licensed and insured RPAS pilot (CASA certified RePL) and CASA Certified Drone / RPAS Operation (REoC).
Please keep in mind the use of drones at your wedding is subject to an aerial assessment.
